The Role
- •We are hiring an Applied AI Engineer to own the engineering backbone of our agents. You will bridge the gap between research prototypes and reliable production systems, ensuring our agents have the autonomy, reliability, and speed to run entire businesses.
What You'll Do
- •Implement: Design and ship end-to-end agent improvements, including prompting strategies, tool selection, action planning, and safety guardrails.
- •Evaluate: Build robust evaluation pipelines—from offline "golden tasks" to online metrics like fallout modes and cost efficiency—to drive measurable improvements.
- •Productionize: Orchestrate complex LLM techniques such as function calling, self-reflection, RAG, and multi-agent handoffs in a high-scale environment.
- •Harden: Improve core backend reliability (job orchestration, retries, idempotency) and observability (tracing agent actions) to reduce hallucinations and failures.
- •Ship: Partner with product to define success metrics and deploy fast, safe iterations that users feel immediately.
What You've Done
- •4+ years of backend engineering experience (Python preferred).
- •Hands-on experience shipping LLM features to production (beyond simple API wrappers).
- •Track record of building evaluation harnesses that actually drove engineering decisions.
- •Solid distributed systems fundamentals (concurrency, data modeling, reliability).
- •Pragmatic approach to experimentation: Hypothesis → Prototype → Measured Improvement → Rollout.
